The Puerto Rican Cultural Garden will become a permanent addition to the historic Cleveland Cultural Gardens, honoring the history, heritage, and lasting contributions of Puerto Ricans to Cleveland, the United States, and the world. Designed in harmony with the mission of the Cultural Gardens, it will serve as a place where culture, education, and nature come together to foster understanding, celebrate diversity, and inspire future generations.

Through thoughtfully designed landscapes, public art, interpretive exhibits, and gathering spaces, the garden will tell the story of Puerto Rico from its Indigenous Taíno roots and rich cultural influences to the generations of Puerto Rican families whose leadership, resilience, and achievements have helped shape our community. More than a beautiful public space, the garden will serve as an outdoor cultural museum, educational resource, and community gathering place where visitors can learn, reflect, celebrate, and connect.
